Weekly Wrap-up

It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve done a weekly recap. Mainly because there really hasn’t been a whole lot to recap. Life has been mostly just day-to-day activities at home, which is nice. I think we all function better when life is not so hectic and busy. Of course, Lukas may disagree with that since he asks to go to Target or Walmart at least once a day. He would love it if we stayed on the go all the time.

So what’s been going on ‘round these parts? As I mentioned lots of days at home spent reading, playing with trains, and disciplining. Yeah, that last one hasn’t been any fun at all. We’ve been trying to work on Lukas obeying better. We realized that he was getting too many warnings and not enough immediate action. So we’ve been working on that. He has his moments but I do think we’re seeing some progress.

Our church has a new pastor. I really don’t think I anticipated it happening as quickly as it did but I believe it happened exactly as it should have. I’m excited about what the Lord has in store for our church. We are having wonderful services and seeing new visitors each week. In fact, we had 30 people join last night. It’s amazing to see how the Lord is using the difficult days our church has been through in the last few months to grow and strengthen us!

I’ve continued on my diet of no gluten, dairy, or soy, which is absolutely no fun at all but I am seeing better results. It’s also becoming a little easier to find things to eat now that I’m adjusting to the restrictions. I’ve definitely had more good days than bad in the last couple of weeks. It’s completely worth cutting out the bad stuff to feel better!

We’ve had some crazy weather lately. Warm one day, freezing the next. We took Lukas to the park one afternoon last week when it wasn’t too cold. He had a ball going down the slides and had a major meltdown when it was time to leave. Since then, he’s asked every day to go back to the playground.

I'm glad you're finding it worth it to cut out the bad stuff to feel better. I'm not so sure yet. :)
